Brine Shrimp Cycle


Artemia franciscana, commonly known as brine shrimp or sea monkeys, thrive in the waters of Great Salt Lake. They are essential food source for millions of migratory birds.  Commercial harvesting of the brine shrimp cysts has become a multi-million dollar industry in recent years.
